Created line by line using more than 150 natural shades of sand

WHO IS NANCY?
WHO IS NANCY?
I’m Nancy Tschetner, the artist behind LUX by Nancy Tschetner
a multi-award-winning contemporary artist based in New Zealand, creating original artworks on canvas from natural sand, crushed glass
and gold leaf.
My dynamic artworks change with the light, viewing angle and time of day,
revealing new textures, reflections and details, so they never look quite the same twice.
For more than two decades, I’ve developed my own distinctive process using over 150 natural shades of sand from New Zealand and
around the world, building each artwork layer by layer and line by line.
Inspired by nature, light and connection, I create work that invites you
to keep looking, and to discover something new each time you do.

“Nancy is so easy to deal with - commissioned a piece from her during lock down last year. Despite that the whole process was very smooth. The Tui work she did is fantastic ! Nancy is very talented - love having a piece that is different to our other art works. ”

“I love it as it reminds me of a trip, where I sat under a tree staring out across the white sand to the sea for at least an hour, the nearest thing to just “being present”. Thank you for being so gifted and sharing your gift with us.”
